Washing your face daily is one of the keys to ensuring healthy skin, but using a harsh cleanser can cause an imbalance to the barrier function. Lemon Cream Cleanser uses a skin-enriching combination of jojoba oil and seed butters that never strips the skin of essential moisture. A blend of soothing botanicals is added to counteract any potential redness or irritation from cleansing, while vitamin C and sandalwood extract brighten and help support the skin’s natural external barrier. Add in a dose of hyaluronic acid to ensure moisture retention and you have a cleanser that is perfectly balanced for daily use.
Regular exfoliation is key to achieving healthy skin and this award winning formula does that and more. A clinically proven blend of glycolic, salicylic and lactic acids works together to effectively exfoliate the skin while limiting the chance of irritation. Why three acids? Because each acid serves a different purpose. Glycolic acid helps counteract the visible signs of aging. Lactic acid helps improve moisture content and brightness, while salicylic acid works on the surface to cosmetically help keep skin in the clear.
Glycolic acid is one of the oldest, most clinically proven ingredients in skin care for a good reason. Healthy skin functions best when it’s free of dead skin cells, but as you age, your skin’s ability to rejuvenate slows and the top layer of skin stays around longer than it should. This dead skin prevents your moisturizers and serums from performing to their fullest ability and results in more visibly pronounced signs of aging. We love glycolic acid because it very effectively removes dull, dead, uneven skin from the surface layer. A complex of soothing amino acids works in tandem with the glycolic acid to minimize irritation and visible redness that can sometimes be caused by exfoliation. This newly revealed, fresh skin retains moisture better and can more efficiently utilize the products that follow.
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and one of the most science-backed ingredients in skincare. But to be effective, it has to be incorporated in a high enough percentage to actually create optimal effects while limiting the chance of irritation. Vita C Serum utilizes a potent 30% concentration of THD, a form of vitamin C that the lipid barrier loves, so there’s no resistance from the skin. Murumuru and cupuacu seed butters, naturally high in vitamins A and C, deeply hydrate while vegan squalane, a skin identical lipid, directs the ingredients to where they need to go.
To be effective, your moisturizer needs ingredients that your skin recognizes and more importantly, the ingredients need to know where to go.
